Before we moved to New York we did some hiking in Maryland. One day we went on the mother of all hikes, to the highest mountain in Maryland, The Backbone mountain. With its whooping 3360 feet above sea level, you can clearly feel the thin air and you have to be in great shape to survive long and exhausting climb. Do not attempt to repeat this crazy challenge if you are not professional mountain climber.
